Medical Aesthetic Practitioner
Entering the field of Medical Aesthetics can be a daunting experience for many health practitioners, this may result in feelings of anxiety, clinical uncertainty and at times professional self doubt! The learning curve is vast with often no structured support in place to consolidate the initial training undertaken. Skintalks can support your learning and development by offering a shadowing and mentoring service that will help you to progress from novice to skilled aesthetic practitioner. All communication is strictly confidential at all times.
The shadowing and mentoring programme has primarily been developed for the novice medical aesthetic practitioner. However, support is also offered to practitioners who have completed advanced aesthetic training but require further support to consolidate learning and build confidence. Skintalks shadowing and mentoring service is open to UK registered Doctors, Dentists and Nurses. As a minimum, it is essential to have successfully completed an independent certitifed course in the injection of Botulinum Toxin type A and Dermal Fillers. For advanced practitioners, evidence of completion of a certified course at advanced level is required. Practitioners within a 10 mile radius of skintalks clinic will not be eligible to join the programme.
The shadowing service is an excellent opportunity to spend a day in Skintalks dedicated Medical Aesthetic Clinic located in Musselburgh, East Lothian. This will afford you an opportunity to observe Helena Collier consulting with clients, developing treatment plans and performing clinical procedures. An opportunity to observe management of complications on your day of shadowing may not arise but this is an area of care that will be given dedicated time to discuss in detail. The practitioner shadowing experience at Skintalks clinic will give a broad insight into best clinical practice and include how to build a successful aesthetic practice.
Should you invest in both our shadowing and mentoring service, our promise to you is to continue to offer telephone or email support for a period of six months from the date of your clinic visit. Skintalks offers a very personalised confidence building experience to consolidate your prior learning. Skintalks wishes to share your triumphs and your tribulations!
